Well...it didn't take us long to discover that the 10 Gallon wasn't going to meet our needs either. When a bunch of our gang all decide to molt around the same time, juggling space gets a little hairy!
So...I was fortunate to find a 40 Gallon Breeder for FREE on freecycle. (I heartily recommend freecycle.org to anyone looking for items!)
It was a little gross when we got it, but c'mon...free is free. Once we have it cleaned up and set up, I'll post some pics of the new hermie home!

The Crabitat!!
A house is just a house, but a crabitat is a home!
Of course, every crab needs a crabitat. This is Casa del Cranlsn! We started out with a 5 gallon tank, and quickly ran out of room when we became addicted to these guys!
We purchased a 10 gallon, and quickly caught the "remodeling" bug. Since crabs like to have many places to hide, and also love climbing we turned one half of our tank into a "jungle" environment for them. Larry seems to be the best climber so far!
Here's the pics!

This first one is a straight on shot of the "Tat".

And here's the left hand side! Sam is once again trying to escape by climbing the "plants" on the background.

Here's a shot of the right hand "jungle" section!

And finally a close up of the jungle area. If you look closely, you'll see one of the hermie huts, and Tiny hiding out in his tapestry turban shell!
